Angela Ruffo

Angela started her practice in criminal defence upon her call to the bar in 2013. Her practice now spans the full spectrum of criminal litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. Angela defends clients facing a variety of offences, including criminal and regulatory offences in the Ontario Court of Justice and serious charges before the Superior Court of Justice. She also represents people who have been found guilty of criminal offences in appealing their convictions to the Ontario Court of Appeal and has experience helping clients navigate the Ontario Review Board system. She is frequently asked by other lawyers to assist with complex litigation, including legal drafting, Charter applications, and difficult appeals.

Angela also acts for lawyers who are the subject of investigation by the Law Society of Ontario and discipline proceedings before the Law Society Tribunal, including capacity proceedings.

Angela is licensed with the Law Society of Ontario and a member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
